APPSC asks candidates to update OTPR details from September 30
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has directed all applicants and candidates to update their One-Time Profile Registration (OTPR) details from September 30, 2026, citing changes introduced for determining local status within the State.
Background and changes to OTPR
In a press note issued on Tuesday, the Commission said it has modified the OTPR system to capture District, Zone and Multi-Zone particulars based on a candidate’s study and residence details. The changes have been made in line with the Andhra Pradesh Presidential Order, 2025, and specifically reference Para 7 of G.O.Ms.No.45, General Administration (SPF&MC) Department, dated April 20, 2026.
The APPSC advised that the revised fields will help ensure that local status is determined accurately and consistently with the applicable government orders and rules.
Instructions for applicants
The Commission has asked candidates to update their OTPR particulars before applying for any recruitment notification issued by the APPSC. It emphasised that all information furnished should be accurate, complete and in accordance with the rules governing recruitment and eligibility.
The APPSC further stated that details provided in the OTPR will be verified at the appropriate stage of the recruitment process. Candidates found to have provided incorrect information or made false declarations regarding eligibility or other particulars may face rejection of their candidature as per applicable rules.

Screening and written test schedule for faculty recruitment
Alongside the OTPR update advisory, the APPSC announced the schedule for the Screening/Written Test to be conducted through Computer Based Tests (CBT) for recruitment to Assistant Professor posts in various universities and Lecturer posts in the Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT).
According to the Commission, examinations for the posts notified by 19 universities will be held from December 1 to 5, 2026. The tests will be conducted across the erstwhile 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh.
A subject-wise, detailed examination schedule will be released separately at a later date, the Commission said.
What candidates should do now
Prospective applicants are advised to promptly review and update their OTPR profiles from September 30, ensuring all study and residence details are correctly reflected in the District, Zone and Multi-Zone sections. Candidates should also monitor the APPSC portal for the release of the detailed subject-wise schedule for the upcoming Assistant Professor and RGUKT Lecturer examinations.
