Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, connecting Jaitpur in Gorakhpur to Salarpur in Azamgarh and linking it to the Purvanchal Expressway. Spanning over 91 km and four districts, the four-lane access-controlled expressway significantly reduces travel time between Gorakhpur and Lucknow. Built at a cost of ₹7,283 crore, it is designed for future expansion to six lanes. Toll rates are yet to be announced, and the project marks a major step in UP’s growing expressway network.
