Two pilgrims lost their lives and three others were injured after boulders, dislodged by heavy rainfall, crashed onto the Kedarnath trek route near Jangalchatti in Uttarakhand on Wednesday. The incident prompted an immediate rescue operation by police and NDRF teams. This is the second fatal landslide on the route within two days, as authorities issue fresh warnings amid ongoing heavy rains.

At least two people died and several are feared missing after a century-old iron bridge collapsed over the Indrayani River in Pune’s Maval tehsil. The NDRF and other rescue teams are on-site, with 38 rescued and several injured as operations continue. Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis is monitoring the situation closely.
