Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations for the Maha Kumbh ahead of Mauni Amavasya on 29th January, directing enhanced arrangements for the expected 8-10 crore devotees. Emphasizing the need for better coordination with the Railways, improved mobile network coverage, and uninterrupted transport services, he called for continuous operation of special trains, buses, and electric buses. The CM also stressed ensuring regular toilet cleaning, barricading of ghats, and round-the-clock supply of electricity and drinking water. Key officials attended the meeting to finalize the preparations.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is drawing unique and renowned sages, each with their own inspiring stories. From "Ambassador Baba," who travels in his iconic 1972 Ambassador car, to "Chai Wale Baba," a silent ascetic who has mentored civil services aspirants for over 40 years, these figures are set to make their mark at the spiritual gathering. Other notable attendees include "Environment Baba," a champion for tree planting, and "Rudraksha Baba," who wears 11,000 sacred Rudraksh beads. The event, expected to attract over 45 crore devotees, will feature significant spiritual gatherings, including main bathing rituals at the Sangam and various conferences organized by the Vishva Hindu Parishad.

The video highlights how a family falls victim to cybercriminals after booking a hotel for the event through a fraudulent online link. With the Mela expected to attract 40 crore attendees, the police urge people to be cautious and verify bookings to avoid falling prey to digital scams. The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a new initiative during Maha Kumbh 2025, deploying 'Digital Warriors' to fight fake news, raise awareness about cyber crime, and highlight the police’s efforts on social media. Led by social media influencers and college students, the campaign leverages the younger generation's digital savvy to promote positive messaging. The initiative builds on a previous effort started in 2018, expanding to over 10 lakh digital volunteers and 2 lakh police personnel. Digital Warriors will undergo training to combat misinformation, report cybercrime, and spread awareness within their communities.

Surendra Singh, a BJP leader from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, has launched an indefinite sit-in protest against the demolition of the party’s camp office by the municipal corporation. The office, located in Indira Market, was demolished as part of an anti-encroachment drive by the local authorities. Singh, who has been running the office for over 40 years, condemned the demolition, accusing the district administration of acting under the influence of the Samajwadi Party. He submitted a petition to the District Magistrate, notifying them of his protest. The Sub-Divisional Magistrate confirmed that the demolition was part of a routine exercise.
