Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and other BJP leaders have strongly condemned Congress MP Rahul Gandhi's recent remarks, in which he stated that the Congress party was fighting the Indian state, not just the BJP or RSS. Puri suggested that Gandhi should "get his mental stability checked," while Nadda accused him of revealing Congress's "ugly truth." Gandhi's speech, delivered at the inauguration of the new Congress headquarters in Delhi, also criticized RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's comments on India's independence and claimed the current leadership seeks to control the nation through a "secretive society." The BJP leaders have escalated the rhetoric, calling Gandhi's statements a direct challenge to the Indian state.

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh accused the BJP of politicizing the bomb threats made against Delhi schools, claiming the party was fabricating stories to influence the upcoming elections. Singh criticized BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi for linking the threats to a student’s family and NGOs supporting political causes, accusing the BJP of raising these issues only 15 days before the elections. Meanwhile, Delhi Police revealed that the juvenile arrested for sending the threats was connected to an NGO with ties to a political group, further fueling the political debate.

Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, Arvind Kejriwal took a dig at the BJP, suggesting a 'jugalbandi' (partnership) between BJP and Congress. This remark followed a war of words between him and Rahul Gandhi, who criticized Kejriwal for failing to tackle inflation in Delhi. Kejriwal responded, saying that while Gandhi's fight was to save Congress, his was to save the country. Kejriwal also claimed that the upcoming Delhi elections would expose the hidden alliance between BJP and Congress, as both parties vie for power in the capital.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the 6.5 km Z-Morh Tunnel in Sonamarg, Jammu and Kashmir, aimed at boosting year-round tourism and improving connectivity. The tunnel will enhance all-weather access between Srinagar and Sonamarg, bypassing landslide-prone areas and ensuring safer travel to the strategically critical Ladakh region. Built at a cost of over Rs 2,700 crore, the project is expected to transform Sonamarg into a year-round destination, promote winter tourism, and support local livelihoods. Additionally, the tunnel will improve defense logistics and contribute to economic growth in the region.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fulfilling his promise to hold elections in the Union Territory, following his participation in the International Yoga Day event in Srinagar. He also reiterated PM Modi's commitment to restoring statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, expressing confidence that this promise would soon be realized. Abdullah highlighted the positive developments in remote areas like Machil, Gurez, and Karnah, thanks to efforts towards peace along the borders. Additionally, the inauguration of the Z-Morh tunnel was celebrated as a significant step in enhancing year-round connectivity to the Sonamarg tourist resort.
