Swati Maliwal, leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), was arrested on Thursday after staging a dramatic protest outside Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence over the city’s growing garbage problem. Maliwal, along with her aides, collected garbage from the streets of Vikaspuri and dumped it in front of Kejriwal’s house. In a video shared on social media, police officers were seen detaining her as she carried out the protest. Maliwal criticized the Delhi government’s failure to address the city's sanitation issues, stating, "Arvind Kejriwal has turned Delhi into a garbage dump... People are facing a lot of problems." She added that the protest aimed to make Kejriwal experience the daily hardships Delhiites face due to the garbage crisis. Despite facing legal action, Maliwal remained defiant, emphasizing that she would continue to fight for the people of Delhi.
