Ram Navami is being celebrated across India with immense devotion and enthusiasm, marking the birth of Lord Rama. The festival, observed on the ninth day of the Chaitra month, sees devotees gathering in large numbers, especially in Ayodhya, where special arrangements have been made. The crescent moon marking Eid-ul-Fitr has been sighted in India, confirming that celebrations will take place on Monday, March 31, 2025. The moon was observed in Lucknow and other major cities, including Kolkata and Bengaluru. The announcement was made by Khalid Rashid Farangi, Chairman of the Central Moon Sighting Committee, who confirmed the moon's appearance on Sunday evening. Ahead of the Chaitra Navratri festival, the Uttar Pradesh government has issued a directive to close illegal slaughterhouses and ban the sale of meat within 500 meters of religious places. Special restrictions will be enforced for Ram Navami on April 6, with a complete ban on animal slaughter and meat sales. Additionally, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has urged Mumbai authorities to close roadside meat stalls during the festival to respect Hindu sentiments. The measures aim to ensure a peaceful and respectful environment for religious observances.

The BJP has launched a nationwide initiative to distribute "Saugat-e-Modi" kits to 32 lakh underprivileged Muslim families across India in time for Eid. The relief kits, named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will be distributed under the leadership of the BJP's Minority Wing, emphasizing the party’s message of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (Together with All, Development for All). The distribution will involve 32,000 party workers and will extend to other religious communities during their respective festivals.
