The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has invoked the second stage of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi and the NCR due to deteriorating air quality, now classified as ‘Very Poor.’ Effective from 8 AM on October 22, the plan includes daily mechanical sweeping, dust control at construction sites, and increased parking fees to discourage private vehicle use. Public transport services will be enhanced, and residents are advised to avoid dust-generating activities. The measures follow ongoing efforts under Stage I of the GRAP, which began on October 15.
