Ukraine Launches Biggest Drone Attack On Moscow, Shutting Down Airports

Ukraine launched its largest drone assault on Moscow since the start of the war, injuring one person and forcing the closure of three major airports. The attack, which targeted the Russian capital overnight, was part of a broader escalation in the conflict, coinciding with Russia’s unprecedented launch of 145 drones against Ukraine. While Ukrainian drones struck key sites in Moscow, including the Moscow region, Russia claimed to have downed 70 of them, with air defences successfully intercepting most threats. This sharp increase in drone warfare underscores the growing intensity of the conflict, with both nations ramping up aerial attacks on critical infrastructure.

SA vs IND, 1st T20I: India beat South Africa by 61 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the series

India cruised to a dominant 61-run victory over South Africa in the first T20I of their tour, thanks to a brilliant 100 from Sanju Samson. Batting first in overcast conditions, India posted 202/8, with Samson's explosive knock of 100 off 47 balls leading the way. In response, South Africa were bowled out for 141 in 17.5 overs, with India’s spinners, particularly Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, strangling the hosts’ middle-order. Samson’s historic back-to-back T20I centuries and a clinical all-round bowling performance secured India their fifth win in seven T20Is at Kingsmead, Durban.

Donald Trump Wins Presidency for Second Time in Stunning Comeback

Donald Trump is on track for an extraordinary political comeback, with the potential to return to the White House for a second term in 2024. If successful, Trump would become the second U.S. president to serve non-consecutive terms, following Grover Cleveland. At 78, he would also become the oldest president in U.S. history. Trump is projected to win the popular vote, making him the first Republican in two decades to do so. However, his return would also be historic for other reasons: he would be the first president to face impeachment proceedings twice and the first to hold office while facing criminal charges. With legal battles still ongoing, Trump’s potential re-election would mark an unprecedented chapter in American politics.
