A first-year student from Narayana College in Andhra Pradesh and a 21-year-old aerospace engineering student from BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru's Hanumantha Nagar have died by suicide in separate incidents. An Indian Coast Guard Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Dhruv crashed on Sunday in Porbandar, Gujarat, during a routine training mission, killing all three crew members on board. The helicopter experienced technical difficulties around 12:10 pm, leading to the crash near the runway, where it caught fire. Despite efforts to control the blaze and rush the victims to a hospital, the crew members succumbed to their injuries. The incident follows a series of safety concerns about the ALH fleet, which had undergone a critical upgrade after previous accidents. The body of seven-year-old Zohan Pathan, who had been missing since the tragic ferry-Navy boat collision off the Mumbai coast on December 18, was found on Saturday. With his recovery, the death toll in the incident has risen to 15. The collision occurred when a Navy boat undergoing engine trials lost control and collided with the overloaded tourist ferry, 'Neel Kamal,' which was carrying more than 100 passengers.
