Prashant Kishor Calls for Nitish Kumar’s Resignation Ahead of Bihar Assembly Polls

By The Sampadak Express

Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj, has called for the resignation of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming that the JD(U) leader’s ability to govern has been severely compromised due to both physical exhaustion and mental unfitness.

At a press conference on Sunday, Kishor commented on the deteriorating health of Nitish Kumar, stating, “The first person to comment on Nitish Kumar’s health was his ally, Sushil Kumar Modi. Since then, several Bihar Ministers have made remarks about it. I refrained from commenting until January, but during the BPSC protests, I observed that Nitish Kumar’s mental state has worsened to the point where he appears unaware of what’s happening in the state.”

Kishor further suggested that Kumar’s inability to recall the names of his own Cabinet Ministers was evidence of his declining mental condition, emphasizing, “Nitish Kumar is physically tired and mentally unfit. He should resign.” Kishor also pointed out that the BJP, particularly Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, should share responsibility for Kumar’s condition, asserting that it would be impossible for them not to be aware of his mental state.

Meanwhile, a poster criticizing Nitish Kumar appeared outside the residence of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi in Patna. The poster mocked the Chief Minister’s leadership with the words, “The non-serious Chief Minister, Jan Jan Man Adhinayan Jay Hai, Nahi Kursi Kursi Kursi Kursi Jay Hai.”

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav also weighed in on Kumar’s health, sharing a video on social media showing the Chief Minister gesturing and apparently speaking during the national anthem at an event. Yadav accused Kumar of insulting the national anthem and criticized his mental and physical state, calling it a serious concern for the state of Bihar.

In his post, Yadav wrote, “At least please do not insult the national anthem, Hon’ble Chief Minister. You insult youth, students, women, and elderly people every day. Sometimes you clap on Mahatma Gandhi’s martyrdom day and mock his martyrdom, and sometimes you clap on the national anthem!”

Yadav further stated, “You are the Chief Minister of a major state. Your mental and physical instability is a matter of grave concern. Do not insult Bihar like this again and again.”

The growing criticism surrounding Nitish Kumar’s health continues to stir political debates in Bihar ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections.
