Pakistan Violates Ceasefire Agreement; India Vows Strong Military Response

By The Sampadak Express

Just hours after a ceasefire agreement was reached between India and Pakistan, the Indian government has confirmed multiple ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri stated on Saturday that the Indian armed forces are responding firmly and have been directed to take strong action against any further provocations.“

Pakistan has repeatedly violated the ceasefire understanding reached earlier today. Our armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response to these unprovoked attacks,” said Misri.

Reaffirming India’s commitment to maintaining peace, Misri warned that repeated violations will not be tolerated. “We take very serious note of these breaches. We call upon Pakistan to take appropriate measures to ensure compliance and address these violations responsibly,” he said.

The Foreign Secretary added that the Indian forces remain on high alert along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), and have received clear instructions to respond decisively to any further incidents.

Earlier in the day, Misri had announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to a full ceasefire across land, air, and sea, effective from 5 p.m. on Saturday. The agreement followed diplomatic efforts mediated by the United States, with U.S. President Donald Trump confirming the truce during a press briefing.

Despite the agreement, tensions flared as ceasefire violations were reported within hours, casting a shadow over the renewed hopes for peace.
