External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met SWIFT chief executive Javier Pérez-Tasso in New Delhi on Monday, October 19, 2026, and said they discussed facilitating smooth and efficient global commerce and exchanged views on related geopolitical challenges. The meeting in the capital was reported by The Hindu.
In a post on X, Mr. Jaishankar wrote: “Glad to meet SWIFT CEO Javier Pérez-Tasso in New Delhi today. Discussed the importance of facilitating smooth and efficient global commerce. Also exchanged views on geopolitical challenges in this context. @swiftcommunity.”
