Manoj Pandit, a Bhagalpur resident, had initially tied the knot with Sekha Devi in a love marriage. However, their relationship was marred by continuous disputes, and despite several attempts at reconciliation, the couple sought legal intervention. The case remains unresolved in court. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Manoj’s family decided to arrange a second marriage for him.
What they did not foresee was the reaction of Sekha Devi. Upon learning about the planned wedding, Sekha, along with her mother, confronted the bride-to-be’s family at their home. Manoj’s family had intentionally kept the fact that he was still married a secret from the second bride’s family, but this deception was soon exposed in dramatic fashion.
The planned wedding was set for December 10, with the bride’s family preparing for the groom’s procession and the pre-wedding ceremonies like Haldi and Mehndi already underway. Sekha Devi, upon arriving at the bride’s home with her mother, revealed that Manoj was still married to her, forcing the bride’s family to cancel the wedding immediately.
Shocked and disappointed by the revelation, the bride’s family called off the wedding, putting an end to the celebrations that had been planned for months.
