The Belagavi district administration has shifted the Sub-Registrar office to the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises, with the new location beginning operations on Monday, The Hindu reported on October 21, 2026.
Officials said the relocation clears the existing site for construction of a proposed five-storey administrative building that will accommodate multiple government offices. The existing Sub-Registrar office building will be demolished to make way for the complex.
The plan is intended to bring various government offices under one roof to make it easier for citizens to access multiple services at a single location, according to an official release.
