By The Sampadak Express

Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Patna late Saturday for a two-day visit to Bihar, aimed at energizing the BJP and its NDA allies ahead of the upcoming state Assembly elections later this year. During his visit, Shah met with leaders of the BJP-led NDA and participated in key public events.

Shah took to his official social media account after his arrival, praising the NDA government in Bihar for its focus on public welfare and good governance. He emphasized that the NDA would form the next government in Bihar. Shah’s visit comes as part of the BJP’s efforts to strengthen its organizational base and rally support for the 2025 Assembly polls.

Upon his arrival, Shah was warmly welcomed by senior BJP leaders at Patna airport and immediately proceeded to the Bihar BJP office. There, he held a series of meetings with Union ministers, MPs, state ministers, and MLAs. The central focus of these discussions was to secure 225 seats for the NDA in the upcoming elections.

Ravi Shankar Prasad, BJP MP and former Union Minister, attended the meeting and expressed confidence in the party’s plans, highlighting that more leaders would be visiting Bihar to energize the party’s campaign. Other leaders like Giriraj Singh and Shahnawaz Hussain also expressed their enthusiasm about Shah’s presence, with Hussain mentioning that a “wave of joy” had swept across the state.

Shah’s visit is seen as a crucial step in the NDA’s campaign strategy. BJP MP Janardan Singh Sigriwal described it as a “highly strategic” meeting, with multiple key discussions set to take place. The party aims to strengthen its reach at the grassroots level, targeting every village and booth to ensure victory.

On Sunday, Shah will address a public meeting in Gopalganj, a vital event to mobilize the BJP’s grassroots support. His official itinerary also includes attending a state-level cooperative conference in Patna, where he is expected to announce Rs 903 crore in schemes for the cooperative and home departments. Shah will also distribute micro-ATMs and launch several local initiatives in Gopalganj.

This visit marks the beginning of the NDA’s campaign for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, with the goal of securing a resounding victory in the 243-seat legislature. The visit also aligns with the United Nations’ declaration of 2025 as the International Cooperative Year, with Shah set to unveil a web portal for cooperative activities during his trip.

Amit Shah is also scheduled to meet Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday, furthering political discussions ahead of the elections. After concluding his visit, Shah will return to Delhi, wrapping up his strategic tour of Bihar.
