A pothole that threw his parents off their motorcycle in November 2024 left a lasting impression on Parth Anand, a teenager from Delhi’s Vikaspuri.

Determined to find a solution and make roads safer, the 16-year-old began learning to code and develop websites in January 2026 to create a simpler way for citizens to report road hazards. By March, he launched Project Sadak, a citizen-led platform that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to route complaints about road hazards to the relevant government departments and follow up on repairs.
