AIPL Season 1 to begin in Visakhapatnam on October 2

The inaugural Andhra Influencer Premier League (AIPL), a three-day box-cricket tournament designed to bring together regional social media creators, will commence at the SS Sports Arena in Madhurawada, Visakhapatnam, on October 2. The schedule and details were announced by M.D. Ramesh Kumar (Raja), senior advocate and director of the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP).

Event Overview

Organised by SS Sports Arena in association with the RRR Motor & Sports Association, AIPL Season 1 marks what organisers described as the first tournament of its kind in Andhra Pradesh, with Visakhapatnam serving as the focal point. The league aims to provide a sporting platform that brings together regional social media creators and influencers from across the region.

The tournament will run from October 2 to October 4 at the Madhurawada venue. Ahead of the opening day, Ramesh Kumar was pictured with the AIPL trophies and awards at the arena on Thursday.

Format and Teams

Eight teams will compete in the league, divided into two pools:

Pool A: Srikakulam Kings, Vizag Titans, Vizag Super Kings, Anakapalli Avengers

Pool B: Vizag Tigers, FF Warriors, Sikkolu Strikers, Vizianagaram Firestorms

Prizes and Recognition

The champions will receive a cash prize of ₹1 lakh along with a trophy, while the runners-up will be awarded ₹50,000 and a trophy, the organisers said.

Organisers’ Aim

According to the organisers, the AIPL has been conceived to create a common ground for regional digital creators to connect and collaborate through sport, using box cricket as the format to engage participants and audiences alike.
