BJP National President JP Nadda on Monday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 11-year tenure, describing it as a period that transformed the political landscape of the country. Speaking at a press conference at the party headquarters, Nadda said the achievements of the Modi government deserve to be etched in “golden letters.”

Highlighting key milestones, Nadda credited PM Modi with ushering in a new era of politics centered on performance, accountability, and good governance. “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, we have seen the rise of a responsive and strong government that prioritizes the nation over political gain,” he said.

Contrasting the current administration with the previous Congress-led UPA regime, Nadda said the earlier government was marred by “corruption, scams, and appeasement politics.” In contrast, he emphasized that the Modi government focused on structural reforms and bold decision-making.

Among the landmark decisions cited by the BJP chief were the abrogation of Article 370, the abolition of triple talaq, the amendment to Waqf properties, demonetisation, and the passage of the women’s reservation bill.

June 9, 2025, marks both the first anniversary of the Modi government’s third consecutive term and the 11th year of Narendra Modi serving as India’s Prime Minister. He was sworn in for a third term on the same date in 2024.
