By The Sampadak Express

In a significant development, Vice Admiral A.N. Pramod on Sunday revealed that the Indian Navy was fully prepared to strike key targets, including Karachi, during Operation Sindoor India’s strategic military response following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing a joint press conference alongside top officials from the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force, the Director General of Naval Operations highlighted the Navy’s forward deployment in the northern Arabian Sea. “Our forces remained in a decisive and deterrent posture with full readiness and capacity to strike select targets, including Karachi, at a time of our choosing,” the Vice Admiral stated.

He emphasized that the Indian Navy’s operational advantage at sea played a crucial role in Pakistan’s urgent appeal for a ceasefire. “The overwhelming edge maintained by our forces, alongside the actions of the Army and Air Force, significantly influenced Pakistan’s decision to seek a ceasefire,” he added.

According to the Navy, major combat assets were deployed within 96 hours of the terror attack, showcasing the armed forces’ rapid and calibrated response. The operation included coordinated surveillance and persistent monitoring of Pakistani naval and air units, which were forced into a defensive posture.

Sources confirmed that Operation Sindoor remains active and has not been called off. India has reportedly communicated to key international stakeholders that it reserves the right to respond decisively to any future provocations. A senior official noted, “If Pakistan fires, we fire this is the new normal.”

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), the Indian Navy reiterated its readiness: “The Indian Navy remains deployed at sea in a credible deterrent posture, prepared to respond decisively to any hostile action by Pakistan or Pakistan-based terrorists.”
