In a shocking and gruesome incident, a woman and her lover were arrested for allegedly murdering her husband, a merchant Navy officer, in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. The accused, Muskan (27) and her lover Sahil (25), confessed to the crime, which involved stabbing the victim to death, chopping his body into 15 pieces, and sealing the remains in a drum filled with cement.
The incident came to light after a complaint was received about a foul smell in the Indira Nagar area of Meerut. Police investigated the matter and discovered that Saurabh Rajput (29), a merchant Navy officer, had gone missing on March 4. His decomposed remains were recovered on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ayush Vikram Singh said that the police detained Muskan and Sahil on suspicion. During questioning, Sahil confessed to the crime, revealing that he and Muskan had stabbed Saurabh to death on March 4. They then dismembered the body, put it in a drum, and sealed it with cement.
According to the police, Muskan and Saurabh had married in 2016 despite their families’ disapproval. The couple had a six-year-old daughter and lived in a rented apartment. However, Muskan was allegedly having an affair with Sahil, which led to the brutal murder.
After killing Saurabh, Muskan and Sahil allegedly went on a vacation to a hill station. Meanwhile, Muskan attempted to mislead Saurabh’s family by sending messages from his phone. The police have arrested both Muskan and Sahil, and an FIR has been registered under relevant sections.
Saurabh’s family has expressed shock and grief over the incident. They alleged that Muskan had been trying to mislead them and avoid suspicion. The family has demanded justice for Saurabh’s brutal murder.
The police have taken swift action in the case, arresting the accused and recovering the victim’s remains. The police have also sent the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway to uncover the details of the crime.
