A petition has been filed against Ayodhya’s Mahant Raju Das in the Rae Bareli district court, Uttar Pradesh. The case is related to Mahant Raju Das’s controversial remarks about the founder of the Samajwadi Party (SP), the late Mulayam Singh Yadav. The Rae Bareli court has issued a notice to Mahant Raju Das, and the next hearing of the case has been scheduled for February 20.

Controversy Over Remarks on Mulayam Singh Yadav

Recently, Mahant Raju Das of the Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya made objectionable comments on social media regarding the installation of a statue of Mulayam Singh Yadav during the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela. These remarks triggered massive outrage among SP supporters. In response, SP leader and lawyer Akhilesh Mahi filed a petition in the Rae Bareli court, demanding the registration of a case against Raju Das for his comments.

Other Cases Filed Against Raju Das

It is not just in Rae Bareli that cases have been registered against Mahant Raju Das. Complaints have also been lodged in Ayodhya and Varanasi, with SP workers staging protests in multiple locations against his statements.

Next Hearing Scheduled for February 20

The next hearing of this case has been scheduled for February 20 in the Rae Bareli court. Judicial Magistrate Second Class, Court No. 19, has issued a notice to Mahant Raju Das, asking for his response. The case is currently in the court, and it will be interesting to see what action will be taken in the next phase of the proceedings.
