A shocking incident has come to light in Karnataka’s Chamundeshwari Nagar, where a 40-year-old man was found dead at his home after his family returned from church. The victim, who was found hanging from the ceiling, had allegedly died due to harassment by his wife, according to the police.
Preliminary Probe Reveals Troubled Marriage

The couple had started living separately just three months after their wedding, and the wife had even filed for divorce, demanding ₹20 lakh as alimony.
Suicide Note Points to Wife’s Torture
The victim’s brother shared the contents of his brother’s suicide note, which stated, “Daddy, I’m sorry. My wife Pinky is killing me, she wants my death… I am dying because of my wife’s torture.” The note suggests that the victim was driven to take his own life due to the alleged torture and harassment by his wife.
Family Demands Justice
The victim’s family is demanding justice, with his brother stating, “We want justice for my brother. That woman should be arrested. No one should suffer the way my brother has suffered.” The family has also revealed that the victim had been struggling after losing his job three months ago, which added to the tension in the marriage.
Previous Incidents of Violence
The family has also mentioned that the victim had been physically assaulted by his wife’s elder brother, with a police report filed at the time of the incident. This incident had further strained the relationship between the couple.
Case Registered Against Wife
Following a complaint from the victim’s brother, the police have registered a case under Section 108 (abetment to suicide) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita against the victim’s wife. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter.
