The former cricketer made several controversial statements, including a claim that power should never be given to women, as they would “destroy everything” around them.
Singh, 66, argued that women should not be in positions of power, citing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as an example. “If you ask a woman to run a household, it will be destroyed,” he said during the interview. He went on to claim, “Never give power to a woman. Give them love, respect, and honour.” Singh further expressed that women, when given power, tend to hold everything for themselves, which he argued leads to destruction.
In addition to his views on women in power, Singh made another controversial statement about language, suggesting that Hindi is a language suited for women, while men should speak Punjabi. He described speaking Hindi as “lifeless and feminine.”
