Kejriwal Congratulates BJP’s CM Candidate Ramesh Bidhuri, Challenges Him to a Debate

Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), on Saturday extended a public challenge to Ramesh Bidhuri, claiming that the former Member of Parliament (MP) will soon be declared the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections. Kejriwal congratulated Bidhuri, anticipating that the BJP would make an official announcement in the next one to two days.”

Sources tell us that Ramesh Bidhuri’s name will be formally declared as BJP’s CM face very soon. I congratulate him on this,” Kejriwal stated at a press conference.

During his remarks, Kejriwal questioned the contributions of Ramesh Bidhuri to Delhi’s development during his tenure as an MP. He asked, “What has Ramesh Bidhuri done for the development of Delhi? What is his vision for the city’s future?”

Kejriwal also proposed a public debate between the AAP and BJP’s chief ministerial candidates once the BJP formally announces Bidhuri’s name. “We should have a debate in front of the people of Delhi between the CM candidates of AAP and BJP,” he said.

Meanwhile, the BJP Central Election Committee (CEC) convened a significant meeting on Friday to finalize the candidates for the Delhi assembly elections, which are set for February 5. The meeting took place at the BJP headquarters and was attended by key party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, as well as prominent Delhi BJP leaders.

Reports indicate that the BJP’s discussions primarily focused on finalizing candidates for constituencies in Delhi where the party had not yet announced nominees. The final list of candidates is expected to be released on Saturday.

The Delhi assembly elections are scheduled for February 5, with results to be declared on February 8.
