According to police, a total of 42 lockers were targeted, with jewellery and other valuables stolen. While the precise value of the stolen items remains unknown, bank sources suggested that the theft could amount to several crores.

The theft was discovered on Sunday afternoon after locals noticed the damage to the wall and alerted the police. A team, including forensic experts and a dog squad, quickly arrived at the scene to begin the investigation.

CCTV footage captured multiple individuals using electric cutters to open the lockers, further aiding the investigation. Authorities are reviewing the evidence collected from the crime scene and are continuing their efforts to identify those responsible.

At the time of the incident, the bank was closed. Authorities are also conducting a review of the bank’s security protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future. The investigation is ongoing.
