Telugu superstar Allu Arjun expressed his respect for the law and pledged full cooperation with authorities following his release from jail on Saturday in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case.

Speaking to the media and fans gathered outside his Jubilee Hills home, Allu Arjun addressed the public soon after walking out of a Hyderabad jail. He had spent the night in custody following his arrest the previous day.”

There is nothing to worry about. I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate,” the actor said, reassuring his fans.

Upon his release on Saturday morning, Allu Arjun briefly spoke to reporters before heading home to reunite with his family. According to information he said, “I would like to first thank everybody for their immense love and support. I thank my fans. I am well, and there is nothing to worry about. I am a law-abiding citizen, I respect the law, and I will cooperate with the authorities and do the needful. My condolences go out to the family. It’s very unfortunate, as we went to watch a movie, and due to an unfortunate incident, we lost a person. This was completely out of my personal control.”

He further added, “I have been going to watch my films for the last 20 years and have visited the theatre over 30 times. I will support the family in every way I can. I know we can never replace the loss, but I will do what I can. Thank you all for the support.”

The arrest of Allu Arjun on Friday morning had caused a dramatic turn of events, with an interim bail order coming just as the police were about to take him to Chanchalguda prison. The lower court had initially remanded him to 14-day judicial custody.

The police filed a case against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the Sandhya Theatre management under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The charges include 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) r/w 3(5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt).

According to the police, Arjun’s actions led to the tragic incident. A statement from the police said, “He came to the theatre, emerged from the sunroof of his vehicle, and started waving to the public gathered outside. This drew a large crowd towards the main gate. At the same time, his private security pushed people to make space for his vehicle. His team was instructed to take him back due to the large gathering, but they didn’t act on it, and Allu Arjun stayed inside the theatre for over two hours.”

The statement also added, “It is clear that, while police security was in place, his actions directly contributed to the unfortunate incident, where a woman lost her life, and her son remains unconscious on a ventilator even after nine days.”

Following his release, Allu Arjun was reunited with his family in an emotional moment captured in videos circulating on social media, showing him embracing his wife and children. The arrest sparked widespread outrage, with support pouring in from various members of the film industry, including Telugu actor Nani and Bollywood star Varun Dhawan. The situation continues to develop, with the outcome of the case still uncertain.
