Pushpa 2: The Rule Set to Enter Rs 1,000-Crore Club, Breaking Records at the Box Office

Allu Arjun and director Sukumar’s latest film, Pushpa 2: The Rule, continues to shatter box-office records, with the sequel poised to cross the monumental Rs 1,000 crore mark globally. Released on December 5, the film has been a massive success, particularly in the Hindi market, where it is reportedly outpacing the original Pushpa in performance.

Early estimates suggest that Pushpa 2 is set to join the prestigious Rs 1,000-crore club today, December 11, marking a historic achievement for Indian cinema. If it reaches this milestone, it will set a new record for the fastest Indian film to achieve this feat, accomplishing it within just a week of its release.

As per trade reports from Sacnilk, the film earned a robust Rs 52.5 crore nett on Tuesday, December 10. While this marks a slight dip from Day 5, it is still considered a strong performance, with expectations that the film will gain further momentum during its second weekend in theatres.

Of the total collections, the Hindi version of Pushpa 2 contributed a staggering Rs 38 crore nett, while the Telugu version earned Rs 11 crore nett. The Tamil version collected Rs 2.6 crore nett on the same day.

The cumulative domestic box-office total of Pushpa 2 after six days stands at Rs 645.95 crore nett. Notably, the Hindi version has proven to be a game-changer, amassing Rs 370.1 crore nett, while the Telugu version has brought in Rs 222.6 crore nett in India.

Day 0: Rs 10.65 crore (premiere shows)

Day 1: Rs 164.25 crore

Day 2: Rs 93.8 crore

Day 3: Rs 119.25 crore

Day 4: Rs 141.05 crore

Day 6: Rs 52.5 crore

Total: Rs 645.95 crore

The film’s production house, Mythri Movie Makers, also confirmed that Pushpa 2 grossed Rs 922 crore globally in just five days, making it the fastest Indian film to reach the Rs 900-crore milestone.

Pushpa 2: The Rule, continuing the saga of Pushpa Raj and his growing influence within India’s political system, has captivated audiences with its action-packed narrative. The sequel follows Pushpa’s journey as he faces multiple adversaries while asserting his dominance. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil in pivotal roles, alongside a strong supporting cast featuring Rao Ramesh, Jagapathi Babu, Tarak Ponnappa, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Sunil.

With a budget reportedly in the range of Rs 450 crore, Pushpa 2 is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. As the film continues its record-breaking run, the box-office success of Pushpa 2 is poised to mark a significant milestone in Indian cinema.
