In a joint operation, the Delhi Police Special Cell, in collaboration with Gujarat Police, successfully recovered 518 kg of cocaine during a search of a drug-related company in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, on Sunday. The seized cocaine has an estimated value of around ₹5,000 crore in the international market.
Delhi Police reported that this operation is part of a larger investigation into an international drug syndicate. So far, authorities have recovered a total of 1,289 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana from Thailand, amounting to a staggering ₹13,000 crore in total value.
Earlier this month, the Special Cell conducted a raid on a warehouse in Mahipalpur, Delhi, where they seized 562 kg of cocaine and 40 kg of hydroponic marijuana. This consignment, worth more than ₹2,000 crore, was identified as one of the largest drug busts in the city’s history. Following a tip-off, police arrested four individuals connected to the operation.

During the investigation, on October 10, an additional 208 kg of cocaine was discovered at a shop in Ramesh Nagar, Delhi, with a similar value exceeding ₹2,000 crore.
Delhi Police traced the drugs back to a company linked to a pharmaceutical firm based in Ankleshwar. The investigation began after authorities received information about multiple consignments sent by a sender based in Dubai. These shipments, which included clothing and other goods, were transported to Goa ports via various cargo ships.
The kingpin of the drug network had planned to send the 562 kg consignment of cocaine using one of the oldest cargo ships in Dubai. However, police were monitoring the suspected members of the drug network, which enabled them to track and seize the consignment from the Mahipalpur warehouse.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to dismantle this extensive drug operation and identify all individuals involved.
