Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav faced allegations on Monday of stealing various items, including taps and furniture, while vacating the official residence of the Deputy Chief Minister in Patna, Bihar. The accusations were made by Satrudhan Kumar, the personal secretary to the current Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary. Kumar claimed that several items, such as a sofa, plant pots, and air conditioners, went missing from the bungalow.
Danish Iqbal, who supported these allegations, stated, “We are not just making accusations; we have evidence on camera. Tejashwi should respond. Just as Akhilesh Yadav had taps disappear in UP, the same thing has happened here.”
Tejashwi Yadav vacated the official residence on Sunday, after which it was allotted to Choudhary. The Supreme Court had previously dismissed Yadav’s plea challenging the Patna High Court’s order requiring him to leave the bungalow, mandating that he relocate to accommodation designated for the leader of the opposition.

RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of engaging in petty politics, asserting, “Tejashwi has vacated the bungalow he occupied as Deputy Chief Minister. The BJP is resorting to cheap politics and is suffering from ‘Tejashwi phobia.'”
In a separate development, the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi granted bail to RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, each on a bail bond of ₹1 lakh. Following his release, Tejashwi stated, “They keep indulging in political conspiracies and misusing agencies. There is nothing concrete in this case. Our victory is certain.”
