In response, India chased down the target in 18.5 overs, finishing at 106 for 4. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur played a key role, scoring a vital 29 runs off 24 balls before retiring hurt as her team neared victory. Shafali Verma also contributed significantly with a steady 32 runs off 35 balls at the top of the order.
Pakistan, opting to bat first after winning the toss, struggled to establish a solid foundation. Nida Dar was the standout performer for Pakistan, top-scoring with 28 runs off 34 balls. The Indian bowlers were disciplined throughout the innings, effectively containing the opposition and taking wickets at regular intervals.
