On Tuesday, Congress reacted strongly to BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s recent remarks advocating for the return of the controversial farm laws. Sharing a clip of Ranaut’s statement, Congress called on the ruling party to bring back what they termed “black laws.”
“BJP MP Kangana Ranaut is saying that the three black laws imposed on farmers should be restored. The Modi government only took action after the martyrdom of over 750 farmers, leading to the withdrawal of these laws. Now, BJP MPs want to reinstate them. The Congress stands firmly with farmers, and these laws will never return, no matter how hard Narendra Modi and his MPs try,” the party posted on X

In the video, Ranaut acknowledged that her statement might spark controversy and suggested that farmers themselves should demand the reinstatement of the laws.
This follows a previous warning from her party regarding her comments that the agitation against the farm laws could have led to a Bangladesh-like situation in India. This remark came shortly after Bangladeshi leader Sheikh Hasina resigned and fled to India amid student-led protests against her government.
