President Trump warns of further action if Tehran refuses to capitulate
In a dramatic escalation of the Middle East crisis, the United States launched coordinated airstrikes on three of Iran’s most significant nuclear facilities Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan pulling Washington directly into the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict.
Announcing the strikes in a national address, US President Donald Trump said American bombers had “completely and totally obliterated” Iran’s core nuclear enrichment infrastructure. The president also issued a stern warning, threatening “far greater” military action unless Iran agrees to peace.“
Key enrichment facilities have been eliminated,” Trump declared. “If peace does not come quickly, we will go after those other targets with precision, speed, and skill.”
Earlier, Trump had posted on social media that a “payload of BOMBS” had been dropped on the deeply-buried Fordow nuclear site a facility known to be fortified against all but the most powerful “bunker buster” munitions. The Natanz and Isfahan nuclear plants were also targeted in what is being described as the most direct US military action against Iran’s nuclear program in years.
No Radiation Threat, Say Iranian and Global Agencies
Despite widespread concerns about potential radiation leakage due to the nature of the sites targeted, Iranian authorities and international agencies have ruled out any immediate threat.
Iran’s National Nuclear Safety System Centre confirmed that “no signs of contamination have been recorded,” and assured that there is “no danger to residents living near the sites.” A senior official also noted that enriched uranium reserves had been safely removed from the facilities prior to the attacks.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) echoed these assurances, reiterating its stance that “nuclear facilities must never be attacked,” but confirmed that no radiation was released during either the US or prior Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.

This development marks a major shift in the US’s stance in the region, with Washington now openly engaging militarily in the Israel-Iran conflict despite President Trump’s repeated promises to avoid foreign entanglements.
