The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially extended the application deadline for the NDA & NA (II) 2025 and CDS (II) 2025 examinations. Aspirants now have until 11:59 PM on June 20, 2025, to complete their online applications through the official website upsc.gov.in.
The extension from the earlier deadline of June 17 provides candidates with a crucial opportunity to apply for these prestigious defence recruitment exams.
NDA & NA (II) 2025: Vacancy Details & Eligibility
The National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination will recruit for 406 posts across the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Naval Academy:
Army – 208 posts (including 10 for women)
Navy – 42 posts (including 5 for women)
Air Force (Flying) – 92 posts (including 2 for women)
Air Force Ground Duty (Technical) – 18 posts (including 2 for women)
Air Force Ground Duty (Non-Technical) – 10 posts (including 2 for women)
Naval Academy (10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme) – 36 posts (including 4 for women)
Eligibility:
Marital Status: Unmarried males and females
DOB Range: Born between January 1, 2007, and January 1, 2010
Must qualify in both written examination and SSB interview
Application Fee:
General/OBC: ₹100
SC/ST/Women/Children of JCOs/NCOs/ORs: No fee
CDS (II) 2025: Post-Wise Breakdown & Eligibility
The Combined Defence Services Examination will fill 453 vacancies in various academies:
Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun – 100 posts
Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala – 26 posts
Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad – 32 posts
Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai (Men) – 276 posts
OTA, Chennai (Women) – 19 posts
Eligibility Criteria:
IMA/OTA: Graduate degree in any discipline
INA: Engineering degree
AFA: Engineering degree or Physics & Math at 10+2 level
Age Limit: 20–24 years (unmarried candidates only)
Specific birthdate requirements vary by academy
Application Fee:
General/OBC: ₹200
SC/ST/Women: No fee

2. Click on the “Apply Online” link under the Examinations tab
3. Select the NDA/NA or CDS option
4. Register and fill out the form
