Returning from a Wedding
As per Ramkaran, Circle Officer, Anupshahr, the family of six was returning from a wedding in Chamanpura village, Badaun district, when the crash occurred. “Initial investigation suggests the driver may have dozed off due to fatigue,” he said.“
There was minimal traffic on the road at that hour. A local resident alerted the police, and a team immediately reached the spot,” added the officer.
Probe Underway
SHO Tripathi noted that the CNG-powered vehicle caught fire shortly after overturning. “We are investigating the exact cause of the fire,” he said, adding that all bodies have been sent for post-mortem and the families have been informed.
