A tragic fire broke out on the top floor of Shabad Apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13 on Tuesday morning, claiming the lives of a man and his two children.

The incident occurred around 10:00 AM, near MRV School, when flames rapidly engulfed the upper floor of the residential building. In a desperate attempt to escape the blaze, the victims reportedly jumped from their apartment. Despite efforts to save them, all three succumbed to their injuries.

Emergency services were promptly alerted, with a call received by the Delhi Fire Department at 10:01 AM. In response, eight fire tenders were dispatched to the scene. Firefighting and rescue operations began immediately and continued for several hours.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire. “The cause is currently unknown, and further investigation is underway,” a fire department official said.

Visuals from the scene showed intense flames and thick smoke billowing out of the top floor, prompting a swift evacuation of nearby residents. Local authorities, including police, fire brigade, and ambulance services, were present at the site to manage the situation and provide assistance.

Residents have been advised to avoid the area to allow emergency teams to operate without obstruction.

Further updates are expected as officials continue their investigation into the cause and circumstances surrounding the incident.
