In a dramatic incident at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Monday, popular YouTuber and BJP leader Manish Kashyap was allegedly assaulted and held hostage for several hours by junior doctors. The confrontation led to chaos within the hospital premises before police intervened and brought the situation under control.
According to reports, the altercation began when Kashyap visited PMCH to advocate on behalf of a patient. A heated verbal exchange with junior doctors quickly turned physical. Eyewitnesses claim that Kashyap was allegedly detained for nearly three hours inside the hospital before bystanders stepped in to calm tensions.
Hospital staff accused Kashyap of misbehaving with doctors, which they say provoked the altercation. However, the YouTuber has denied any misconduct, asserting that he was attacked without reason and that the confrontation was instigated by the doctors themselves.
Following the incident, both parties lodged FIRs at the local police station. Supporters of Kashyap allege he was unjustly targeted, while hospital authorities maintain that staff acted in self-defense.
