CBSE Class 10 Result 2025 Declared: 93.66% Pass; Trivandrum Tops the List

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the Class 10 board examination results for 2025. Out of the 23.71 lakh students who appeared for the exams, 22.21 lakh have successfully passed, recording an overall pass percentage of 93.66%, a slight improvement of 0.06% over last year.

This year’s exams were conducted from February 15 to March 18, 2025, across India and select international centres.

Top Performing Regions

The Trivandrum region emerged as the top performer once again, with an outstanding 99.79% pass percentage. It is followed by Vijayawada, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Pune. On the other end of the spectrum, Guwahati recorded the lowest performance among the 17 regions, with a pass percentage of 84.14%.

Highlights of CBSE Class 10 Results 2025:

Total students appeared: 2,371,939

Total students passed: 2,221,636

Pass percentage: 93.66%

Students scoring above 90%: Over 1.99 lakh

Students scoring above 95%: More than 45,000

Students in compartment: Over 1.41 lakh

Girls Outperform Boys Again

In keeping with the trend, girls have outshone boys once again. The pass percentage for girls stands at 95%, compared to 92.63% for boys.

To check their results, students need to provide their roll number, school number, and admit card ID.

No Merit List Announced

As in recent years, CBSE has not released a merit list or named individual toppers. The board continues to promote a holistic learning approach and discourage unhealthy academic competition.

Post-Result Options

Students dissatisfied with their scores can apply for re-evaluation or verification of marks via the CBSE portal. Detailed instructions and deadlines will be announced shortly.

Those who have been placed in the compartment category for failing in one or two subjects will be eligible to appear for the compartment exams.

Guidance for Future Planning

With the results declared, students are now preparing to select their academic streams for Class 11. CBSE has urged schools to offer counselling and guidance to help students make informed decisions aligned with their strengths and career goals.
