Spiritual Significance of Akshaya Tritiya
Akshaya means “eternal” or “never diminishing,” and any charitable deeds, rituals, or investments made on this day are believed to yield endless benefits. The day falls on the Shukla Paksha Tritiya in the Hindu month of Vaishakha. When it coincides with Rohini Nakshatra and a Wednesday, as in 2025, its spiritual impact is considered even more powerful.
Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Hindu Trinity, Akshaya Tritiya also marks the beginning of the Treta Yuga. It is often celebrated alongside Parashurama Jayanti, commemorating the birth of Lord Vishnu’s sixth incarnation.
As tradition goes, buying gold on Akshaya Tritiya is not just an investment—it’s a symbol of everlasting prosperity and good fortune. Despite record-high prices, millions are expected to participate in this age-old tradition with hope and devotion.
