UPSC CSE Final Result 2024 Declared: Shakti Dubey Tops Exam in First Attempt

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the Final Result of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024, bringing the current exam cycle to a close. The exam process included the written mains held in September 2024, followed by personality tests/interviews conducted between January and April 2025.

Shakti Dubey from Prayagraj has secured All India Rank 1, emerging as the topper of the year in her very first attempt. Harshita Goyal, a Chartered Accountant originally from Vadodara and currently residing in Haryana, secured Rank 2. Rank 3 was bagged by Dongre Archit Parag.

UPSC CSE 2024 Selection Highlights:

The UPSC has recommended 1,009 candidates for appointment to prestigious services such as IAS, IPS, IFS, and other Central Services Group A and B.

Category-wise selection breakdown:

General: 335

EWS: 109

OBC: 318

SC: 160

ST: 87

In addition, 45 candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) have been selected. A reserve list of 230 candidates has also been maintained.

A total of 1,129 vacancies were reported by the Central Government this year, including 50 seats for PwBD candidates.

Provisional Results and Withheld Candidature:

The candidature of 241 candidates remains provisional, while one result has been withheld.

What’s Next for Selected Candidates?

Final service allocations—across IAS, IFS, IPS, and other central services—will be made based on vacancy availability and individual preference-cum-merit, following respective service rules.

Facilitation Support for Candidates:

UPSC has set up a Facilitation Counter at its New Delhi office. Candidates may visit between 10 AM to 5 PM on working days for any queries or clarifications.

The marks of all candidates—qualified and non-qualified—will be published on the official website within 15 days of the result declaration.
