By The Sampadak Express

A flight carrying eight Gujaratis deported from the United States arrived at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Sunday morning at 10:50 AM. The deported individuals were part of a larger group of 116 Indians who had entered the US illegally, and they were deported aboard a US military plane that landed at Amritsar airport on Saturday night at 11:40 PM.

The deportees were processed through immigration procedures and were then flown to Ahmedabad under the supervision of local police authorities. Upon their arrival, the authorities implemented stringent security measures at the airport, deploying a significant police presence to ensure order and safety.

Tight Security Measures at Ahmedabad Airport

At Ahmedabad airport, the eight deported individuals were met by a high-security team consisting of local police, Intelligence Bureau (IB) officers, and Special Operations Group (SOG) personnel. The airport authorities had cordoned off the arrival gate, ensuring that the proceedings went smoothly and without any disruptions. Local law enforcement is currently in the process of recording the statements of the deported individuals as part of an ongoing investigation into their illegal migration.

To maintain order, police vehicles from Mehsana and Gandhinagar districts were stationed at the airport. Once all procedures are completed, the deported individuals will be handed over to the respective authorities in their home districts for further questioning and legal action.

More Deportations Expected in Third Phase

Authorities have confirmed that a third batch of deportees is set to arrive at Amritsar on the night of February 16 at 10:00 PM. This group will consist of 157 Indians who were also caught attempting to enter the US unlawfully and are being repatriated as part of ongoing immigration enforcement measures.

First Phase of Deportations: 33 Gujaratis Sent Back

The latest deportations come as part of a phased effort by Indian and US authorities to tackle illegal immigration. In the first phase of deportations, 33 Gujaratis were sent back to India after being apprehended in the US. This initiative is a part of a larger crackdown on illegal migration routes and the agents facilitating unlawful entries into the United States.

Investigation into Illegal Migration Routes

As the investigation into the deportees’ illegal migration continues, authorities are working to determine how these individuals managed to illegally enter the US. The focus of the investigation is also on identifying the agents and networks responsible for facilitating these illegal entries. Legal action will be taken against those involved in orchestrating these migration routes.

The Indian government is actively cooperating with US authorities to combat illegal immigration, with measures in place to prevent further unlawful entries and deportations. The ongoing repatriations serve as a clear message to those attempting to breach immigration laws, and law enforcement agencies are determined to take appropriate actions against those involved in the illegal migration process.
