The MEA and Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) officials are actively coordinating with local authorities to ensure the event runs smoothly and securely for the distinguished guests.
A Spiritual Gathering Promoting Unity
On January 25, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the ongoing Maha Kumbh festivities in Prayagraj during the ‘All India Avadhoot Bhesh Barah Panth-Yogi Mahasabha’ programme. Expressing his gratitude for the privilege of witnessing the Mahakumbh, CM Yogi highlighted the massive turnout of devotees during Paush Purnima, when millions took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam.

CM Yogi remarked, “We are fortunate to witness Mahakumbh 2025, where a large number of people took a holy dip at the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati during Paush Purnima. As Prime Minister Modi has rightly stated, this century belongs to India.”
He emphasized the spiritual essence of the Mahakumbh, underlining its message of unity. The event, which draws millions from across the world, not only offers a chance for spiritual cleansing but also fosters a sense of global togetherness. The Chief Minister noted that the government has ensured that the needs of all pilgrims, whether it be for food, shelter, or Prasad, are abundantly met.
With 10 crore people already having participated in the holy dip over the first 10 days, CM Yogi projected that the total number of attendees will reach a staggering 45 crore over the remaining 35 days of the festival.
Maha Kumbh 2025: A Global Spiritual Milestone
The participation of diplomats from 73 countries is seen as a significant global recognition of India’s cultural and spiritual heritage. It underscores the Mahakumbh’s universal appeal and its role in promoting peace, unity, and cooperation among people of different faiths and backgrounds.
As the Maha Kumbh continues to unfold, the confluence of the divine, the religious, and the international aspects of the event promises to elevate its standing as one of the world’s largest and most inclusive spiritual gatherings. The presence of foreign dignitaries is expected to further enhance the international profile of the event, highlighting India’s role as a hub of spiritual tourism and cultural exchange.
With preparations in full swing and the government ensuring the smooth participation of all visitors, the Mahakumbh is set to be not just a religious observance, but a grand celebration of global unity and India’s spiritual heritage.
