Andhra College Student Dies After Falling from 3rd Floor, Incident Captured on Camera

Date:

In a disturbing trend, two students from different colleges in India have died by suicide in separate incidents. A first-year student from Narayana College in Andhra Pradesh jumped from the third floor of the building, while an aerospace engineering student from BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru’s Hanumantha Nagar jumped from the fifth floor.

Narayana College Incident

The incident at Narayana College was captured on a surveillance camera, which showed the student exiting the classroom at 10:15 am, stepping onto the ledge, and jumping from the third floor. The video footage revealed that the student had quietly stood up and walked out of the classroom without interacting with anyone. The cause of the suicide is still unknown, and an investigation is underway.

BMS College of Engineering Incident

In a similar incident, a 21-year-old aerospace engineering student died by suicide after jumping from the fifth floor of BMS College of Engineering in Bengaluru’s Hanumantha Nagar. The incident took place around 4:45 pm when the campus was largely quiet. Initial investigations revealed that the student had taken his life due to family-related problems. He had allegedly sent messages to his parents indicating his distress regarding specific family issues just hours before the incident.

Investigation Underway

The police have ruled out foul play and have filed a report on the unnatural death. The college community is shocked by the sudden death of the student, who was described as an introvert who mostly stayed to himself. The incident has raised concerns about the mental health and well-being of students, and the need for support systems to help them cope with stress and anxiety.

Similarities Between the Two Incidents

Both incidents involve students who were struggling with personal issues, and who felt overwhelmed by their circumstances. The fact that both students died by suicide in such a tragic and public manner has raised questions about the support systems in place to help students cope with stress and anxiety. It has also highlighted the need for greater awareness and understanding of mental health issues, and the importance of providing support and resources to students who may be struggling.
