Kiren Rijiju Urges Political Unity Against Alleged Sonia Gandhi-George Soros Links

Date:

On Monday, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Kiren Rijiju, raised serious concerns over the alleged connections between Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi and Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros. He urged all political parties, including the Congress, to unite in opposing “anti-India forces.”

Rijiju, speaking to the media ahead of a stormy Parliament session, emphasized that issues impacting the nation should not be viewed through a political lens. He stated that the alleged links between Sonia Gandhi and Soros, which have recently come to light, should be treated as a serious matter, particularly if they are related to anti-India forces.“

We should not view this issue as one related to the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi, or Sonia Gandhi. If there are any connections to anti-India forces, it must be taken seriously. This is not about party politics,” said Rijiju.

The Union Minister’s comments came a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alleged that Sonia Gandhi has ties to an organization funded by the George Soros Foundation. The BJP claimed this organization has supported the notion of Kashmir as an independent nation.

In response, RJD MP Manoj Jha criticized the government’s focus on “conspiracy theories,” suggesting that it might be an attempt to cover up something. “If the government is delving into conspiracy theories, it means they are hiding something. The government should investigate these matters properly,” Jha said.Rijiju, however, stressed that if anyone, including political leaders, is found to have links with anti-India forces, it should be collectively condemned by all political parties.”

We have informed Congress and other parties that we will discuss constitutional matters in Parliament on December 13 and 14 in the Lok Sabha, and on December 16 and 17 in the Rajya Sabha. I appeal to Congress leaders and workers that if any of their leaders are found to be involved with anti-India forces, they should speak out. We must stand united and fight against such forces together,” Rijiju added.

On Sunday, the BJP claimed that Sonia Gandhi, as the co-president of the Forum of the Democratic Leaders in Asia Pacific (FDL-AP) Foundation, is linked to an organization financed by the George Soros Foundation. The BJP further stated that the FDL-AP Foundation has supported the idea of Kashmir being treated as a separate entity.
