Pushpa 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Allu Arjun’s Film Hits Rs 417 Crore in Two Days, Hindi Version Surpasses Telugu in Earnings

Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is proving to be a massive success at the box office, continuing its record-breaking performance across multiple languages. Following a stellar opening day that saw the film rake in Rs 175 crore nett in India across all languages, Pushpa 2 maintained its momentum on day two, collecting an impressive Rs 90.1 crore nett in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. With this, the film’s total collections in India after two days stand at a remarkable Rs 265 crore nett.

On its second day, the film performed exceptionally well in all language versions. The Telugu version earned Rs 27.1 crore, while the Hindi version grossed Rs 55 crore. The Tamil version made Rs 5.5 crore, Malayalam brought in Rs 1.9 crore, and the Kannada version earned Rs 60 lakh. Notably, the Hindi version has already surpassed the Telugu version in earnings, with the former grossing Rs 125.3 crore compared to Rs 118.05 crore for the latter.

According to trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan, Pushpa 2 has already grossed an astounding Rs 417.5 crore worldwide in just two days. The film’s total worldwide earnings include Rs 282.9 crore from its record-breaking first day and Rs 134.6 crore on the second day, making it the first Indian film to cross the Rs 400 crore mark within its first two days.

In terms of occupancy, Pushpa 2 saw a 53% overall occupancy for its Telugu version on day two, with evening and night shows witnessing strong demand. Hyderabad led the charge with 65% occupancy across 1009 shows, while Bengaluru recorded 48.75% occupancy across 842 shows. In the Hindi market, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 51.65% on day two, with Mumbai leading at 59.5% occupancy across 1523 shows, followed by Delhi-NCR at 50.25% across 1741 shows.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up where the first film left off, following Pushpa Raj as he faces escalating challenges as a red sandalwood smuggler. The film features an ensemble cast, with Fahadh Faasil playing the role of the ruthless SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawan, Rashmika Mandanna reprising her role as Srivalli, and Jagapathi Babu adding intrigue to the narrative.

The success of Pushpa 2 is all the more remarkable considering the monumental success of its predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, which was released in 2021. The Rise became a global sensation, grossing Rs 393.5 crore worldwide and earning Allu Arjun his first National Award for Best Actor. The film also emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2021.

With its exceptional performance at the box office, Pushpa 2 is on track to break even more records and further solidify Allu Arjun’s stardom.
