On Friday, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren allocated portfolios to the newly inducted ministers in his government following a recent reshuffle. According to an official notification, Soren has retained control over several significant departments, including Home (which also covers the prison system), Cabinet Secretariat, Personnel, Administrative Reforms, Official Language, Road Construction, and Building Construction.
In the latest reshuffle, Congress MLA Radhakrishna Kishore has been appointed to oversee the Finance Department. Chamra Linda, a member of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), will handle the Department of Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and Minorities.
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Sanjay Prasad Yadav has been given the responsibility of the Labour, Employment, and Training portfolio. Meanwhile, Congress leader Irfan Ansari will manage the Health, Medical Education, and Family Welfare Department.
The reshuffle follows the swearing-in of 11 new ministers, which took place on Thursday. Hemant Soren, who was re-elected as Chief Minister on November 28, continues his leadership in the state. A few departments are still awaiting allocation to ministers.
