Jharkhand’s working Chief Minister, Hemant Soren, along with his wife and MLA Kalpana Soren, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi on Tuesday. During the meeting, Soren extended an invitation to PM Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the newly formed government, scheduled for November 28 in Ranchi.

Soren also met with key Congress leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, at Kharge’s residence in Delhi. The leaders discussed the formation of the new government, its key promises, and the structure of the upcoming cabinet. Kalpana Soren accompanied her husband during these meetings.
In the evening, Soren met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, inviting them to the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday. Several prominent leaders from the INDIA alliance, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, are expected to attend the event.
Sources indicate that the new government aims to begin its work promptly. In addition to Hemant Soren’s swearing-in, the new cabinet, which will consist of 10 ministers, will also take their oaths on Thursday.
