The much-anticipated trailer launch of Pushpa 2: The Rule on Sunday evening at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan was marred by chaos as fans clashed with security personnel. The event, which drew thousands of eager fans hoping to catch a glimpse of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and actress Rashmika Mandanna, quickly spiraled into a stampede-like situation.
Video footage shared online captured a massive crowd swarming the venue, with tensions rising as fans attempted to get closer to the stars. Some individuals even crossed barricades and threw shoes and slippers when security tried to prevent them from breaching the restricted area.

Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Vijay Kumar Sinha, addressed the crowd, stating, “I welcome all the artists and technicians of the film to the historic Gandhi Maidan of Pataliputra. Today’s event marks a milestone in the promotion of both the film industry and tourism in Bihar. No trailer launch event of this magnitude has ever been organized in the state before.”
As the crowd grew increasingly unruly, security personnel were seen wielding batons to push back the crowd. However, officials later clarified that no “lathi charge” was used, stating that a small group of attendees who attempted to cross the barricades were simply removed from the area. They emphasized that adequate security had been deployed to ensure the safety of those in attendance.
The trailer, which was met with roaring applause, featured Allu Arjun reprising his iconic role as Pushpa Raj, a ruthless red sandalwood smuggler. Rashmika Mandanna also returns as his love interest, Srivalli. The high-octane trailer showcases Pushpa’s fearless attitude, with a fierce confrontation between Allu Arjun and Fahadh Faasil, who plays Pushpa’s formidable enemy. With explosive action sequences and a powerful declaration by Pushpa, the trailer has intensified anticipation for the film’s release.
Pushpa 2 is set for a worldwide release on December 5, 2024, and fans are eagerly awaiting the continuation of this action-packed saga.
