Hindus are attacked by Khalistanis at Canada Hindu Sabha temple

Date:

The recent attack on the Hindu Sabha temple in Brampton by Khalistani extremists has drawn widespread condemnation from Canadian political leaders. Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre, along with Toronto MPs Kevin Vuong and Chandra Arya, expressed their outrage, emphasizing the failure of government leaders to protect the Hindu community.

Poilievre stated, “It is completely unacceptable to see violence targeting worshippers at the Hindu Sabha Mandir. All Canadians should be free to practice their faith in peace. Conservatives condemn this violence unequivocally and I will work to unite our people and restore order.”

Toronto MP Kevin Vuong criticized the current political climate, declaring that “Canada has become a safe harbour for radicals.” He highlighted the government’s failure to safeguard Hindus, Christians, and Jewish Canadians from such violence. Vuong remarked, “It’s alarming to see an attack on Hindu Canadians. We all deserve to worship in peace.”

Chandra Arya also condemned the attack, asserting that a “red line has been crossed” by the extremists. He shared footage of the incident, underscoring the alarming rise of violent extremism in Canada. Arya noted, “This attack on Hindu-Canadian devotees demonstrates the brazen nature of Khalistani violent extremism.”

The Hindu Canadian Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting the Hindu community, released a video of the assault, showing women and children being attacked. They criticized the incident, stating, “This is happening under the support of Khalistani sympathizers in politics.”

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined the chorus of condemnation, affirming that everyone should have the freedom to practice their faith in peace. The incident raises serious concerns about the safety and security of religious communities in Canada, prompting calls for stronger protective measures.
