Renowned folk singer Sharda Sinha has been placed on a ventilator after her health significantly deteriorated on Monday afternoon. Doctors at Delhi’s AIIMS report that Sinha’s condition remains critical following her hospitalization over two weeks ago.
Initially admitted to the ICU, she was moved to a private ward two days ago but has required ongoing oxygen support. In an effort to keep fans informed, her son Anupam Sinha has been sharing updates on social media during this challenging time.
In a recent YouTube live session, her son Anshuman provided an urgent health update, emphasizing the seriousness of her condition. He urged viewers to pray to Chhathi Maiya for his mother’s recovery, noting that her health has taken a sudden turn for the worse.
Despite her health struggles, Anshuman released Sinha’s latest song, “Dukhwa Mitayin Chhathi Maiya,” just in time for Chhath 2024. Many fans have flooded social media with prayers and messages of support for the beloved singer.
Sinha is celebrated for her contributions to Chhath songs and has also made her mark in Bollywood, lending her voice to tracks in films featuring stars like Salman Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Notable songs include “Kahe Tose Sajna” from Maine Pyar Kiya and “Baabul” from Hum Aapke Hain Koun.
